Made in Denmark

Nadia Wire working on one of our digital knitting machines

We have taken the audacious decision to locate our manufacturing facility in Denmark in the suburbs Copenhagen. We have embarked on this ambitious journey in order to bring the textile production back to Denmark, and by extent, to guarantee a responsible production with a low environmental impact and high-quality products.

At our factory we create and manufacture everything: From the very first textile to the final garment. We work with digital knitting machines from the German company Stoll. These are operated by our team, who has specialised in digital knitting, manufacturing, and design from all over the World.

Our concern about the environment is incorporated in our business model and our core values. Therefore, we believe it is important to be transparent about the ways we function. One of the ways to address overproduction is simply to match supply and demand. Therefore, we don’t keep a stock and production only starts once an order has been received. We simply don’t believe in mass production.

We cherish to have a close relationship with our suppliers; therefore, we continue to work the same suppliers and materials for each collection. This way we can maintain a high quality throughout our whole production chain; from the raw material to the final product. We only acquire yarns that are already in stock, therefore no additional creation or dyeing of yarns have been created. We only work with materials that already exists.

All our textiles are knitted on our digital knitting machines, which is located on the ground floor of our building. We knit our fabrics with exclusive yarns from certified European suppliers only. To avoid any unnecessary material, when knitting our fabrics, we shape the fabric directly on the knitting machine, according to its size and shape – also called fully fashioning.

The textiles are then handed over to our sewing department, which is placed in the basement of our building. Prior to assembling, the seamstress will firstly fix all the yarn ends and iron and steam each textile. Since the textiles have already been shaped, there is no need for cutting or adjusting them – they just need to be assembled and a neck tag and care label needs to be added.

Quality check is an important part of every knitted garments journey! First, we quality check the textiles as soon as they have been knitted, so only flawless fabrics move on in our production process. Next up, we quality check the garments after they have been assembled by our seamstress, to ensure that our customers only receive high quality products.

Now the final garment is ready to be shipped, which takes place at the top floor of our building. Where we wrap and pack it for a safe travel directly to your doorstep. And here you go: A high quality, made to order garment knitted just for you – how cool is that? If you live nearby our manufacturing facility, then you can also pick up your order and spare the shipping costs.
